Welcome Kinders!
Kinder artists have been busy learning about various types of lines (zig-zag, diagonal, wavy, curly, etc.) and shapes (square, rectangle, circle, triangle, etc.)
We are already into our fourth nine weeks of school . . . I cannot believe how fast time has gone! Students have been experimenting with cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, and clay. Some of the projects they have been doing include: fall leaves filled with various lines, paper sculptures made of lines, robots made of various shapes, and observational drawing of birds using shapes. They are waiting for their clay lady bugs to get out of the kiln (a very hot oven for clay), so that they can paint them. Most recently, artists learned about Mayan suns and created their very own, beautiful suns made of lines and shapes. |
